As you may already know, we like to get in touch with artists that express their creativity through their work. So, we come back to you with another interview. Hope you will enjoy it!<\/p>\n

Subsign: What was your childhood like? Do you think your experiences from childhood have influenced your present creative endeavors?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0It has definitely influenced my work, especially the times I was in the countryside visiting my grandparents and being in nature playing, which is still the source of inspiration now. It helps me get in the right frame of mind from my creative process.<\/p>\n

Subsign: How would you describe your work style?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I love to draw characters and I try to keep a clean style capturing various moments from people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: Can you share with us how your creative process works?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0Most of my process involves, what other might call procrastination, but for me it\u2019s a source of inspiration. I have to be in a relaxed and calm mindset to get things done without worrying about the deadlines, and I do that by browsing, looking at pretty things and enjoying a good coffee. I believe that we need to take care of ourselves in order to give back to the world.<\/p>\n

Subsign: How does your workstation look like?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0My work space at the moment is in caf\u00e9s, co-works and in bed hah. I combine work with travelling and I try to get out of my comfort zone exploring the world.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: What is your favorite work you have done so far?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I\u2019m happy to have had such great clients which makes the work even more enjoyable. I liked the project I did for the Australian and New Zealand Bank as a pitch.<\/p>\n

Subsign: Who do you admire as a visionary?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I like Caroline Paul who wrote a book called \u2018The gutsy girl: Escapades for Your Life of Epic Adventure\u2019 illustrated by her partner Wendy MacNaughton. She also has a Ted talk about how to raise brave girls and encourage adventure.<\/p>\n

Subsign: What advice could you give to someone starting out in the creative field of work?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I think that promoting your work and showing it to the world is the best of things, even though it\u2019s not the most enjoyable thing. But also follow your heart and what you love to do, as that will show in your work and that\u2019s what people like to see.<\/p>\n

Subsign: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0Oh, so many things! Probably to learn as many languages as possible, including sign language which I\u2019ve started to learn. And something a bit more fun would be to learn to fly a glider plane.<\/p>\n

Subsign: Can you recommend for our readers a book, a song and a movie?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I would recommend the book:\u00a0Wildwood Chronicles<\/em>\u00a0by Colin Meloy, song:\u00a0My Silver Lining<\/em>\u00a0by First Aid Kit, movie\/series:\u00a0\u2018Bread and soup and cat weather\u2019\u00a0<\/em>by Kana Matsumoto.<\/p>\n

Subsign: If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0I would have a \u2018game\u2019 themed party with all sorts of games like giant jenga and games we all played as children.<\/p>\n

Subsign: What did you wanted to be as a grown up?<\/span><\/p>\n

Cami:<\/span>\u00a0Hah, I wanted to be a superhero like Sailor Moon, or Ma-ti from Captain Planet and the Planeteers. After that I thought of something more in touch with reality and was thinking of being a detective. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
