You might be thinking that the only things we have in common with Ale is the love for pizza and dogs. Well, at first we have found his amazing artwork. Let\u2019s take a look.<\/p>\n

Subsign: Before we get things rolling, let\u2019s get acquainted. Tell us a few things about yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0I love pizza, movies and dogs. That\u2019s why watching a movie while eating pizza with my dog sounds like heaven to me.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: What was your childhood like? Do you think your experiences from childhood have influenced your present creative endeavors?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0My artworks are totally influenced by my childhood. The plan was to pick up what I used to love in my childhood and mixing it with a modern approach to design: Hanna&Barbera\u2019s cartoons, Miroslav Sasek picture books, Carosello (70\u2019s italian tv show with animated commercials), comics and all that 60s-70s esthetic I was surrounded by. In that times I felt in love with drawing and I just try keeping that mood.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: How would you describe your work style?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0I don\u2019t like to describe it. But some years ago a blogger did it: he called it \u201cgeometric retro style\u201d, geometr\u00f2 in a easier way to say. I think that fits perfectly.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: Can you share with us how your creative process works?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0Sketching ideas on iPad Pro, tracing lines and color shapes on Adobe Illustrator, add some color effects on Photoshop. My workflow never changed since when I start to work as an illustrator. Just tools are changed: today I do not have any piece of paper or pencil on my desk, just an iPad and an iMac.<\/p>\n

\"Subsign<\/p>\n

Subsign: How does your workstation look like?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0As you can see from that picture, it looks like a white sheet.<\/p>\n

Subsign: What is your favorite work you have done so far?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0I do not have a favorite one. It\u2019s like to ask to a mom which is her favorite child. I can tell you that I was really, really glad to be called to design a special Spring-Summer capsule collection for Puma. It was a huge project release last June and I\u2019m really proud of the result.<\/p>\n

Subsign: Who do you admire as a visionary?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0John Lasseter.<\/p>\n

Subsign: What advice could you give to someone starting out in the creative field of work?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0Never trust who do this job and never smile.<\/p>\n

Subsign: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0A pizza maker.<\/p>\n

Subsign: Can you recommend for our readers a book, a song and a movie?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cThe Baron in the Trees\u201d by Italo Calvino. \u201cModern Love\u201d by David Bowie. \u201cMonsters Inc.\u201d by Pete Docter.<\/p>\n

Subsign: If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0Party? Do you mean that ones with tons of pizza, beers and friends?<\/p>\n

Subsign: What did you wanted to be as a grown up?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ale:<\/span>\u00a0Just myself.<\/p>\n
