On the fourth episode of our podcast, we talked a lot about content generating and the perks of it. Therefore, in order to express our thoughts more organized and clear, we decided to put them into an article.
The market & its content.
While being glued to our phones we have realized that we see the same type of business content every day. Of course it, it only differs from one category to another. But, unfortunately, inside the category, there isn’t so much diversity.
To be more specific and also give an example, let’s take into consideration restaurants or cafes. They have the same type of content: photographs of food and drinks. Sometimes you see photos of events or certain celebrations they have. There are very few out there that really try to attract more clients.
Most of the time the content is made in order to help future or returning client decide if they want to dine in their place. We are guessing that you might be thinking: What’s the point? As long as clients are coming to your place, it doesn’t matter.
Well, we disagree. As the market is changing, the expectations are changing too. Just think of how young people interact with brands nowadays. It’s no longer enough to create post 2-3 times a week.
Our advice.
While generating content might be a hard task for business owners, it can also bring back unexpected results. Therefore, no matter if you choose to do it yourself or hire someone, make sure to create diversity among the type of content you can create.
From finding your approach on the classic food photos to creating gifs, videos, insta stories (or longer videos), tutorials or other types of content, you have a wide range of content you can post.
In the past, there were only a few options when it came to dining out. Nowadays, on the other hand, it’s a hustle to find a place to eat, especially because you have so many options. Therefore, you need to be present in people lives as much as you can.
Make your place the one they choose no matter the occasion, where they feel special or at home. Go with a vibe that people would be interested in. Give your clients a full experience, not just a place to eat. In other words, give people a reason to always come back.
A final thought.
No matter how big your business is or the domain you are activating in, make sure to create content in order to attract different segments of the market that might enjoy your product/service. In this way, you make sure to have a mixed audience and make the most out of the available market. Focus more on creating to help your clients and target audience and the results will follow.
