Dolfn is a tech company that builds apps for good causes and organisations that exist to do good.
The world has a lot of global issues still to be solved and because software developers are thought that they
can’t contribute directly. Dolfn believes that software developers can be a big part of solving global issues.
Dolfn presented us not only the opportunity to develop a visually stunning logo, but a timeless brand that
transmits the mission and vision of the organization.
After going through the brief, interview and organizational research process we came up with a brand manual and
direction that best highlights the personality and services offered by Dolfn.
Their Values

Role-model — Through our daily actions we strive to be role models to others and our industry
Software — By using our core skills we develop apps and technology products that bring value to the user.
The Logo
Our approach for the identity of Dolfn was to highlight the core values of the company via a simple and
geometrical focused visual.
We started with a circle as the base because dolphins are known to swim in circles when trying to protect another
and given the altruistic and very social orientated view of the organization it had to be featured.
After playing around with the concept of dolphins and their swim patterns, we stripped it all down to two circles.
By starting off with just two circles we could play a little with the idea of “false” movement. As you can see
below the dolphin give the impression of swimming in a circle and also twisting at the same time..
The third circle we used in order to give it “life” by adding the fin and at the same time making id both a 2D and
3D visual.
By adding the name we could close up the entire visual in a square and give it a more stable feel.
In terms of colors we focused on the simple black and white combination with the alternative of using a blue that
is refreshing and nature based color.

Everything that Dolfn does is with a purpose, thus the communication and information it transmits should be the
same.
